Can I take a wakeboard/wakeskate surfing?

Has anyone tried surfing with a wakeboard (without bindings of course)or wakeskate? If so, how was it?

Yes, not good. I tried a knee board too. If you try a wakeboard try one with out too much rocker. Big rocker = slow.

I tried with my wakeskate yesterday, ugh! Big rocker = slow is 100% correct!!!

you can but they are right about the rocker. If you go a little faster (15mph) and keep the rope you can have a lot of fun spinning and sliding the wake. Trying to air out and dropping in is fun too.

I've surfed the roam with bindings with out the rope but you have to pump the whole time to stay on the wave.

Ive tried this a little faster then normal and it was actually pretty fun with a wakeskate. Like WAlove said it's fun to do spins and slides and airs.

I surfed the LF Fish, felt so cool to be strapped in.

Mason Lake is in western washington about an hour west of Tacoma over the narrows bridge
