I am starting to get ready for the dreaded winter of cold water riding. My dry suit has a rubber area that has worn thin. It is not a hole but could become a problem. IS there any product to patch this area so it does not become a tear in the future? I was thinking of using something like rubber cement?

Use Aquaseal with the cleaner Cotol-240. You can get it at most dive shops or online. Here is a link to it at REI. works great, stays flexible. The REI Link says not available in CA, however, I bought it at a local dive shop in the bay area.

^ What he said! You can get the combination from most any dive shop for around $11.00, which is more than REI wants. I recently used just Aquaseal to repair my drysuit for a torn seal behind my dry glove ring.

The Cotol can also be mixed with the Aquaseal to thin it out, which is what most people do when gluing trilams etc.
