well i decided to get a little larger boat. the boat is 1995 super sport. it had the ballast tanks professionally installed and only has 275 hours and zero minutes on a total engine rebuild. cost me 18k. i still need a cover and perfect pass though.

congrats Alan I'll look for you on Spring Break.

Nice grab on the SANTE aka NSS!

You are lucky to have that thing! Enjoy it, and I want a pull this summer!

NICE!!! I hope it is real comfortable because it sounds like you might have to sleep in it for a while. Good boats at a good price are hard to find. You can get a ring almost anywhere.

The engine rebuild kind of scares me, why did they have it at 270 hrs? Also, why didn't they use it after the rebuild? 18k is a f'in steal though, can't go wrong either way.

You'll get much more use out of the boat than the engagement ring!

just be sure to buy perfect pass and the cover before the engagement ring.

leo, i spoke with the shop that did the rebuild. one of the manifolds had a leak and some water got into the engine. when they opened the engine they(the shop, century marine) realized it needed a total rebuild. this was done in 10/06. the guy has 4000 in receipts and the shop verified the story. i asked the same question why sell it after getting 4k in repairs and he stated, his sons no longer wakeboard and he wanted to have a running boat to sell. i guess he figured he could get more if it was running, makes sense to me. so, since the rebuild was done in october and his sons are over wakeboarding the boat hasnt seen water. he also had 600 bucks in leaf spring put on the trailer. im excited. ive been in my prostar for a number of years and am ready to take more than myself and two friends out in the boat. plus i like the nautique wake.

slipknot i wont be at havasu but if youre in yuma for spring break or any other time, please look me up, im always looking for new people to ride with.

Just tell her you have the rest of your life to be married. You have to ride while you are still young.

She should understand.

Hey get used to hearing it. I did the same thing and even after a year of marrige I still hear about how I chose a boat over her.

Great find.

Let Wyndi know there is more room to lay out on the back deck, should settle things down a bit.

Alan, see if you can get a deal on two PP's. I also need one. I also need to upgrade the stereo. But way short on cash right now!!! My boat does look good in the new garage though.

hey i went and looked at that boat. very nice. motor rebuild kept me from buying it tho. glad to see someone getting a nice boat
Old    alanp            02-15-2007, 5:25 PM Reply
cliff the only reason im moving from the prostar is because this has more room. the wake on my prostar is all id ever need. with over 10 inverts i dont think its held my riding back.

rodney im going to send you an email. for the record though id prefer to buy a boat with a complete rebuild at 275 hours rather taking my chances. hopefully it works out.

Alan, that is such an awesome buy.

Being a Correct Craft owner, I love the old super sports because they have the same hull as the 210. For under 25k, you can make a boat identical to a 210. You pretty much did that for under 20k, plus you get a new engine!

Also, my friend who just graduated college is looking for an old super sport. I guess he missed that one.

I bought a motorcycle once without telling my wife. I wanted to tell her but the more time went by the harder it was until one day she saw me out riding with a friend. I was at a red light and there she was on the other side going the other way. She looked right at me and I could tell she said the F --word really loud and she never cussed. I was afraid to go home for several hours

Nice ride!!! You know what I did when I got married. I gave her a 02 VLX as a engagement present. She did't really want big ring anyways, She's been great sharing the boat with me.=) Anyways, congrats.

Sweet boat man! I bought a 95 SSN last summer and i love it. You will definately enjoy! Did he say how much it cost for the ballast tanks/install??

alan, you just screwed up cliff's theory of "it's because of the wake."

congrats on the boat! that's a heck of a deal!

Congrats Alan. That is a great boat and a smokin deal. I doubt PP will give a discount, but I will be buying a PP Wakeboard Pro system within the next month or so, so now there are at least 3 of us who need PP...

Not sure how I offended, but boy does my penis feel small. My friends all say the only reason I bought a SAN was to compensate for my inability to ride. Guess their correct.

My only other observation would be, maybe we have a male version of the "level ten" gymnast in our midst.

Alan,

Just messin'

If you need any help installing the PP, a heater, or a center ballast system, pm me. I'm pretty familiar with all of these now that I've added them to my boat.

alan-
how much total ballast is in it? How about the prop, I went with the 536 from acme with about 2100lbs of ballast and it does pretty good with that prop. I tried the 856 and didn't care for it. The 536 is the same as the 644 team prop only a 1/4 bigger in dia. By the way, I have a 97 and it is a great boat. Good luck with it you should have a blast.
