Looking for opinions on the Tige 20v. Especially interested in its ability to deliver a good slalom wake and boarding wake....I love to both ski and board and heard this is a good crossover boat.

Also, if you own one, what did you pay for it?

Hi~
I have been looking for a good ski/wakeboard boat myself, and i have done a ton of research. One fact that stands out is the 20v hull was rated for slalom (class c) events. The wake almost disappears at 36 mph. And it is nice for wakeboarding too. (My good friend a skiing buddy has had one for 2 years). It has been a good boat for him. I am not sure what he paid for it, but i have seen them new for 2006 for under 40K.

I know that the 20v has some problems up @ speeds above 30 with alot of porposing (sp) I've ridden behind 1 from our Marina and the wake is decent....I think that my 21i wake is just as good if not better. My biggest drawback is the really small interior.....but as for being a good all around boat you would probably be happy. It shares the haul with the Switch series....20ft 96" beam. Good luck and make sure you ride behind it first!!!!! TAPS is sweet! I would own it b/c I could care less how it handles @ faster speeds b/c all I care about is 18-23 mph! hahahhah Plus my community only allows Direct Drives 21ft or under. Community rules suck....but oh well @ least I have my Tige!!!!

I have a 20V, as long as you keep the TAPS on slalom, you will never have problems with porposing. I think it has a great wakeboarding wake. Many people say the only way to increase wake size is to increase the weight to surface area ratio. Unweighted the 20V is around 5lbs heavier than an X10 with its ballast full, and the 20V is 9 inches shorter.
