I recently got my 64 year old dad hooked on surfing. A buddy took us out and let him ride a phase 5 colt and he was up first pull no problem and even able to ride the wave and get some slack in the rope. I have read a few reviews and this board is classified as a hybrid board that is geared toward beginners with room for progression. He is around 180lbs and 5'11". I do not imagine he will progress to the point that he is slashing the wave like a pro but I want something that will allow to ride the wave without the rope and make small cuts with ease. I mainly wakeboard but I would also like to make use of the board and I am 160lbs and am able to surf without the rope and would like to progress by ability to cut. We will typically be riding behind an 08 Malibu VLX with stock ballast, wedge and 750 in surf locker. Any comments on this board or suggestions for other boards greatly appreciated.

My wife and one of my friends both ride the Colt and they both love it.

Among all the detecting activities, gold metal detecting is the most interesting one. It can not only relax both your body and mind , but also give you a big fortune if you are lucky enough.Next time if you feel bored, you can pick up gold metal detectors and have a try.
