Congrats on a sweet looking boat. It looks like a MB? Could you post some interior pics and maybe
a description on options. I see you have Fusion tower speakers I have their doubles on my Supra.
Good Luck with your new boat.

Thanks everybody.

I took the picture before the boat was actually hooked up... that's why the jack is down.

Yes, I agree that I need another set of tower speakers. Oh well... all in good time.

The boat it tucked away nicely in the garage, but take a look at this thread for more pics:

Thanks for the nice comments about our tow rig. WE LOVE THE SUB!

I bought it last year knowing that I'd be getting a boat this year. Gas was $4/gallon when I bought it and GM was giving them away (well almost). I got riduculed for buying such a thirsty ride when everybody else was buying hybrids.

Who's laughing now?

Best looking mb I've seen...I'm not a fan of some of their colour combos or gel coat designs but that rig is really sharp! congrats

ixfe, congrats man... And I too am very jealous of your tow rig. If you're looking for somebody to help break the new boat in, let me know as my boat is headed down to AWS this next weekend for a de-win. I have drysuits and I'd be more than happy to help out however I can. :-)

Seriously though... I'm stoked for you.

Do you have to undo the winch strap before you can swing away the tongue?

i'm prayin that bike doesn't fall...awesome ride.

Yes, on the MB trailers (made by DHM) you have to undo the winch strap to fold the tongue. I like this design because it gives you a tongue that folds almost all the way under the bow... it only sticks out about 2 inches. So the boat is only a few inches longer than 21' on the trailer... nice for tight garage storage.

The bikes have been moved to the other side of the garage.

One thing I now realize is that I can't open my lockers with the tower folded down. But my garage ceiling is not quite tall enough to raise the tower back into place. Do you think I could fashion a device to hold the tower up just a few inches below the ceiling without it falling back onto the sun pad? I'm thinking of chaining it up by tapping into the ceiling studs. I'm nervous because the tower is pretty heavy now that I have racks and speakers on it.

use on of those hooks that you hold your bikes up and just have a rope or strap that wraps around your tower and then back to the hook... very easy and yes it will hold it fine if you catch a stud right...

Agree with Diggs. I use the same hook and a link of waterski rope.....

Is it a pain in the a@@ to remove the swim platform?
Old     (ixfe)      Join Date: Aug 2008       03-01-2009, 2:41 PM Reply
^^^ not really. Just pull out two pins and lift it off. It's a two person job, but only takes a minute.

I just got back from the SAC boat show where I spent a lot of time looking at 1) CC 210, 2) BU VLX and 3) MB WB.

I was amazed at the MB WB. Its a SWEET boat off the water. Amazing space. Nice interior. Nice cockpit. Excellent tower and Bimini. Very cool ballast system.

I also liked the BU VLX. I very nice interior. Not so thrilled with the tower options. Not so thrilled with the dash and the funky windshield.

I also dig the CC 210 but mostly for the wake.

To me, its all about what the WATER tells. I really want a less RAMPY wake than my 2000 BU.

I will test ride all three this spring and easily pull the trigger on the MB if the wake is nice (like the new CC 210)
