I have a ton of customers in that area. They say the lakes are nice and not really ever crowded. You are only a hot skip and a jump from Shasta.

I live in the Southern Oregon area and closest lake to the south would be Lost Creek and that place is only good for early morning or evening rides. Looking at aerial imagery of Roseburg, it looks like Cooper Creek Reservior is rideable which is outside of Suthernlin, and there might be spots on the Umpqua River. Good luck

Cottage Grove Lake is about 50 miles north of Roseburg. The Corps of Engineers drain it in the winter but it is usually rideable April through September depending on rainfall. July and August, it will be fairly busy on hot weekends, but it's not so bad weekdays. We're usually out there weeknights after the tubers deflate for the day. Look for a fat old guy behind an 18 foot Searay I/O with a Pirate flag on the tower and say hey.Upload
