What does everybody think of these boats? What is MSRP on a new one? Looking into a very clean 2011 with 15 hours.

Thanks

I dont' think there is a model from Nautique that I have heard less about than this one. I always though the 226 redesign was so much better than the old horribly horribly ugly 226. Would be interesting to hear what anyone's thoughts were on the new design.

Wow I hadn't looked at the older models but the back end looks better on the new ones imo.

I was in one last week, for the first time.

The wake is decent, but not like a 230 or G23. I was actually surpised at how decent it was...I was not expecting much. We had full factory ballast, 400 in each rear compartment, and about 800 in the bow. The layout and functionality on them is nice on them, I think. I think they are sharp looking as well...it's very similar to the 230 in terms of size and layout, but there are some differences.

It's an unsung super boat. It lurks around beneath all the big top models and it secretly has most of the tech in the upper-level, more popular boats. Don't sleep on it. Same for the old one. The tower on the old one is too small and low for its overall profile, but it is a good boat. Murray rocked a 226 for at least 2 summers. The boat is legit.

I thought the wake was absolutely horrible on the 226.

For clarification I was on a 2012. Not sure when the hull on them changed, but I'm pretty sure it did at some point. Also, so it's known, the expectation that I had on it was very low...I was figuring it would be close to something that a heavily weight direct drive would throw.

All,

There was no 2009 226...skipped a year...so the first year of the 2nd gen 226 was 2010. And yes...the butt of the boat looks a WHOLE lot better with the re-design as well as the window and G3tower. I had a 2005..it was a good boat...my 2010...is a great boat. Again..not a 210 or 230...but a little bit of both. It always gets overlooked by the boarders because hardcore boarders only look at 210....the guys with the money that want the flagship always go 230. One thing that deters alot of folks away from this boat is the walkthrough in the rear. I love the walkthrough for my kids and adults as well. Easier to board from behind and get in on the dock. Remember...there is no BAD Nautique..........
