How about a thread with pics and specs for new models for 2008. There are a few pics out there of the new Mastercraft X-35, the Sanger V237, etc. Other models with significant changes, tce. welcome. Here are a few pics of the new X35 lifted from Team MC website:

Is the X35 picklefork?

Yep, the X.-35 is a pickle fork. It has more freeboard, and much more V in the hull than an X-45. The one I saw had a small sink and fridge in it as well.

So...Malibu, MC AND CC all have a spankin new 23 footer? Nice. Should make for some solid "my boat is better than yours" threads. Unless the X-35 is actually just a Maristar with ballast and a tower, which I'm guessing it is.

or is a maristar 235 just an X35 with no tower or ballast? fridge, sink, deep v, sounds more family run about orientated then wake performance, but thats why MC makes the xstar and x1, for people who want wake performance.

I believe the hull is similar to the CSX hull, just bigger. I never got to take the CSX out when I was selling MC but from what I hear the CSX had an awesome wake without that much weight.

A direct drive has the second best wake in MC's lineup? i would think that the xstar and x1 would be one two...

Yes, with a sink above it the way it looks. They also said it has different bow cushions that can be used to face rearward. Looks like a party barge to me!!

Man MC is doing some very outside the box. It makes me think they are expanding out quite a bit from the heratige. It would be interesting to see where they are in 5 years. My concern with them is that the blood line is getting to watered down and they are loosing QC. It seems they are having more mechanical problems than any one else.

shoot for $125K plus that thing should come with it's own staff. I can't see paying that much for a boat and not even have a sleeping quarters

MC just getting a lil too crazy now. they need to calm it down a little. 125k that price is just crazy theres no way i'd pay that much for a boat when i could get a perfectly good one for around 60k.

The X-35 isn't going to be 125K, It's got to be priced between and X-30 and X-45 (probably closer to the 45). Who said it was going to be 125k?

The dealer here said MSRP is gonna be around 85k and sell for 68-69k. Thats not that bad considering the same length in a Tige can be 68-69k with NO ballast let alone a sink and frig. (Message edited by woreout on October 02, 2007)

I'll believe that when i see it. There is a X45 on ebay with 300 hours for $80k. I saw some guy on the lake a couple of weeks ago with an Xstar that he said he paid $115K for. Let's wait and see.

One could argue that some of the new vdrive models have become status symbols, and MC is catering to that market. I mean, at the 07 boat show, I saw people drooling over these things, and I would bet money they never placed their feet in bindings (some of them, not all of course....)

He probably paid 115k after he makes his 180 payments. It would be really hard to get an XStar above 100k, and if you could who is gonna pay MSRP? Nobody thats who. scott a have you priced a CC Air 230/236? It aint cheap and they dont offer a reach around.

115k for an Xstar is rediculous. That person got raped. I worked for a Master craft dealer last summer and there is no way to get an xstar to that even after 8.9% tax and license. If I had to guess I would say a base X-35 with the MCX, bimini, cover, fiberglass platform and tower mirror arm will probably in the middle to high 70's before tax. You could probably get crazy loaded one up into the middle 80's before tax. I know some people down't like the fact that they are trying to please more than the hardcore wakeboarder, but reality is the hardcore wakeboarder doesn't account for that many of their sales. There are far more families that would like a boat to suit many needs. When I was selling mastercraft I had a lot of women that wondered why there was no ladder and my guess is that it is optional anyway. Women account for about 75% of the buying decision when a couple are looking for boats. That is truely who you need to market the boat towards. I think this boat could do awesome up here in Washington, especially on Lake Washington. Woth the deeper V, higher freeboard and creature comforts this boat would be perfect for a family who wants better wake performance then their Cobalt can produce.

I am not 100% positive, but I could swear that the PWT X-Star at the Utah Boat Show was over 100K......boat show price over 100K. I could be mistaken, it just sticks in my head. I swear that I took photos, maybe I can dig them up.........

MSRP might be around 100K, but if you pay that you are a moron. Any salesman that could get 100 for an Xstar should get a huge raise. We had a PWT with 4 tower speakers, all with lights and most of the options and it was in the low 90's, so after tax would of been just over 100.

Yep, I could not find a pic, but did find this thread by another local guy. The boat show price was 98K and it was sold by day 2 if I remember correctly(I was there daily shooting the rail)........ http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/411732.html So 98K + 6.6 sales tax here in Utah....add in a few hundred for license and reg. and it appears that you can be in the 105K area.

Correct, anyone paying MSRP is not doing their homework. That said, I could see someone taking 10% and feeling good about it.... Not me, but someone........ In the end, saying that getting over 100K for an X-Star is not going to happen....well, that is the comment that made me think..... Anyway, if you are a MC dealer, call Wayne Sorensen or Billy McKee at UWS and ask if they got +/- for an X-Star at the '07 boat show, I am sure they would be happy to tell you.

So that being said I dont think some tool in Ca. paid 115k for a standard XStar or PWT for that matter. He probably had some chic in the boat that he was trying to impress by saying how much his boat was.

either way $100K or $115K that is still WAY TOO much for a wakeboard boat

Last time i checked there wasn't any pricing out on the X-35, just pure speculation at this point. I am sure Utah Water Sports shows the MSRP price at there boat show so the person who bought the boat didn't pay what the sheet said (would be my guess). 100K might be to much for a wakeboard boat for most....but not all.

UWS has Base, MSRP with options and "boat show price" listed one their sheets at the boat show. Mind you, I am not at all berating MC pricing. I say get what you can get out of the market. Utah is a booming market as UWS being the #7 MC dealer in the country will attest. That is after all, the American way.

They are GREAT over there. I was VERY close to buying an X-2(205V hull) from them prior to getting my SAN.....just came down to a numbers thing and having a previous relationship with Taylor's Boats. That said, I feel they are as solid as it gets, just didn't work out end the end.
