What are some good amps to push my 6 component speakers? right now, i have the polk 6.5's. i might upgrade though. i want something loud AND clear. i dont need anything that is top of the line, just a good solid amp.

i'm guessing i would get a 4 channel. how would i wire this up? sorry, i'm pretty ignorant in regards to this stuff.

as usual, thanks in advance.

The kicker zx-650.4 is a solid amp. Can be had for cheap, check e-bay. You don't need to shy away from the manufacturer refurb's I've owned them and they are just as good as new. Or you can buy my kicker kx850.4 with a birth sheet of 990 watts, make you a good deal.

If you have all the same size, just wire two sets of two together, and power those as one, then the others by themselves, but less ohms, kicker does it stock in their outlaw box.... they sound awesome

You wire them parallel, take two sets and wire the positives together and the negatives together when you connect them to the amp, this will give you a 2 ohm load. Just wire the other set to the amp and it will see a 4 ohm load, pretty simple.

My buddy bought a JL e6450M online, for a ebay store offering a 1 year warranty. When we went to hook it up, it was dead. Come to find out they (the ebay company) opens these amps up and removes something and then takes the serial number off the unit. He sent it back to them to get it repaired and it has been over 2 months now and he had no amp. He is totally pissed. I will try to get the name of the company and post it here.

I have always had great luck with JL Audio amps. They are super loud and the sound quality is awesome. I am running 6 sets of 6.5" Focals, 2 MTX 8" midranges off of 2 JL 300/4 and they are f'ing LOUD. I have an extra 300/4 if anyone is interested PM me...

C.R.

I will get the name and post it here.

For what is worth, I got all my amps (3 Kicker KX series - KX850.4, KX650.4 and KX600.1) from HiFiSoundConnection.com. All 3 were factory refurbished and they have all worked flawlessly.

Sorry it took so long to get the name of the ebay store. It is AUDIO CLUB. Do not buy stuff from these guys. They have had my buddies JL e6450M amp for 3 months because it was DOA. They will not replace it with another. They sent it back to JL to get fixed. He is just hot over not having tunes the whole summer.
