Hy Everybody
I have a friend that just bought a merry fisher 5m30 or 20 feet with a honda 50 hp. Is it enough to practice wake board? What is the minimum engine power for practicing? Can a mast improve something?
Thanks for answer good ride to all.....

I used to pull my son behind a 19' Carolina Skiff with a 50 Yamaha. He learned all four 180's, and could do 360's. If I drove the doulble up correctly, and he timed it right, he could do a back roll off the double up.
( if it is all you have, have fun and make the best of it )
We got the fever and bought an inboard last year

50HP is a joke. You would be better off with a waverunner.

Mango - you're comments are ridiculous. This guy's trying to make do with what's available and your doggin. Why? I learned behind a 25 Evinrude.

You should be blocked more often.

Keep your comments to yourself, Mango. Really, why do you feel you should say something like that?

25hp engine on a 14 or 15 ft flatboat. I used to weigh 230lbs back then and it took like a minute to get to max speed (16mph). I lost 60lbs, but no longer have the pleasure of riding behind such a fine wakeboard boat.
