I have used the search and found some information, but want to check for some more input. What do you guys think about an 04 X2 with 494 hours? Boat is listed at $34,995. I looked at the boat and tried to find signs that the boat was not taken care of. Interior seemed like it could us a good cleaning and had a couple of small tears, but it wasn't destroyed. Gel coat had some nicks on the bow from the trainer, but was pretty darn good everywhere else. I would obviously drive it before I bought it, just looking for some input. I know the engine should hold up for probably 1500 hrs. without major problems. What about the tranny? What should I look for when driving it? Resale value with high hours? Thanks guys

Thats not a bad price. Once its warmed up pull back and idle as slow as possible, the tranny may rattle slightly (MC's are known for that), if its more than slight get it checked. As for resale, the hrs are a factor thats why the price has to be right going in. Make sure it has not seen saltwater.

the tranny rattle can be solved by using motor oil in the tranny instead of tranny fluid, BTW

Sounds like a great deal to me. What engine is in it, and is it loaded with options?

I did replace the fluid with oil, and that helped. I never did get rid of the rattle completely.

The 2004 X2 is pretty loaded up. It's got the MCX engine (350hp, right), 2 sets of tower speakers and lights.
