Who has seen it and what do you think of it? Retrospect is the one all about Byerly right? Anyone else ride in it? Is it worth buying?

I saw the premier of retrospect here in Reno and it was one of the best movies i have seen all year. It's a great movie though with a lot of background of the sport and some awesome riding.

Bess, I rec'd mine from Boardflix.com yesterday. It is a def must have in the wakeboard DVD library. There is some hilarious "old school" clips from back in the day, as well as some great new stuff. Check it out.

You get to see Darin's Whirly and Thomas on a wakeboard, what more could you ask for? Gotta love all the old school riding. Definitely a must own DVD.

Of course it's worth buying. It's BYERLY, the greatest wakeboarder ever. He is a legend and everyone should buy this video.

I watched Retrospect and encourage EVERYONE to watch it. It documents wakeboarding all the way from the begining of the Skurfer. And for those of us that werent around back then, it really helps us [me] appriciate the sport. And its very well edited with interview/video/audio to really make for an enjoyable viewing. And its ---1.5 hours--- for 22 bucks which is killer for a wake video!!!

It's definitely worth buying. It's amazing to me how greg nelson's part works so well with that barry manilow music, and then they tone it down right away to randy's part, with music by cat stevens. I found that to be emotional...just the riding with the music, and then thinking about his personality...I've gotten the chills every time I watched it. And of course, thomas and byerly's last part has great music...

Second. The two most crucial vids (if you were only to have two). As usual, B speaks the truth... BTW, congrats!

There are spots in the movie when you press "Enter" and a hidden clip is revealed.... Some are only a few seconds, others are 5-6 minutes long... pretty awesome. To get you started, the first one is when you see the submarine at the first of the movie... the hidden part talks about how that all came about!!! I'd spoil it for you if I gave you every detail. Just start pushing enter!!!

in the main vid, Chase Heavner gets on his soapbox about the "byerly hook" and all the wantabee Byerlys ridding with the hook....well he's actually in one of the hidden sections too, but to be honest the dude drives me crazy... we accidentally pushed enter a second time during that hidden section and found another hidden video.... it never ends.... This video is awesome!!! (Message edited by shanday on September 02, 2004)

Another thing I liked was the Schmaltz part. If you look how much he pokes out his grabs with almost no air (compared to today) it's inspiring. You don't see too much of that stuff with most of the riders these days.
