20-21ft wakeboard boat.

Gday all,

I currently have a Sanger v230 and am thinking of selling up over the summer season to get something abit smaller.

This boat will only be for wakeboarding so im after something that provides a decent wake and is still very spacious on the inside.

I love the room in the V230 and the wakesize but it is just hard for me to get the boat from one place to another at times and with the towing capacity on the vehicle i have at the moment i currently have to sell my truck at the moment and spend another $15,000 to upgrade to a 4x4.

So can everyone give them Pros and Cons with the best bang for buck 20 21ft wakeboard boat.

Im looking at spending between $25-$35 max

What do you plan on using as your tow vehicle?

There should be lots of SANTE210s out there, 2004 Malibu Wakesetter VLXs and 2005+ vRides, maybe a Mastercraft X1.

Centurion Falcon V is 102" beam. Not sure any other 20' boat is that wide. Same space as my 22' on the inside. Wake is very nice especially if you put 500lbs in the middle on the floor, meaty with nice ramp, not a shot straight up. It tows very nice and standard duel-axle trailer.

BUT with any wide boat, the wake is really wide too

15 thou more for a 4x4? What are you looking at?

San 210 allllllllll day long. I am a little more biased due to that is what I own but for pure wakeboarding I don't think there is a better boat out there. I run 3400 lbs ballast and my wake is huge. I ride with Bryan Hutton alot and he can throw heel 9s toe 9s tons of mobes and just about any trick he can do on my boat all off the wake. The 205v makes an amazing wake too. I think it's close to the 210 but the 210s is amazing. Also the 210 is widely known as the most efficient wakeboat. Mine has small 34 gallon tank which we get about 10-12 sets on depending on length @ 3400 lbs ballast. The wake is steep and hard and kicks you more than you ramp off of it. The only boat with a bigger wake I have ridden is huttons xstar with over 5000 lbs and a 230 with 3500 lbs and 9 people. The only real gripe people have about the boat is the small size of it which seems to be exactly what you are looking for.

The Sanger V210 is very similar in size and wake performance to the old SAN210 IMO

210 all the way. I've gotten the pleasure to use and play with the larger boats, Nautique 230, 24SSV and some smaller ones, X2, X-Star, and none of them manuever and seem to be nearly as easy to drive as the 210. Not one of them, in my opinion, throws as good of a stock wake with you and another person in there (well maybe 230 is close). You can go out there any day with you and your best bud or two and have a perfect wake with the stock ballast. Any other ones you'll be wishing that you had more people, or lots of extra ballast. I've had mine for almost 4 years now, and with well over 1000 hours. Never been stranded at the lake once except for the time we thought we ran out of gas. Damn kill switch lanyard came off. Should easily be able to find one in your price range.

I can go up to 22ft i just would prefere something under the 2.5T towing capacity and narrower than the 100" as they are starting to crack down over here in Australia on trailer widths etc on the roads. Something narrower and a foot or 2 shorter will make it alot easier to get around.

Im going to be importing it back here so im pretty much open to anything at the moment.

Get the V215 Mitch. Its an awesome boat. 2500 wide. Sits just under 2000kg on a trailer (nothing in boat) Handles like a DD, built like a tank, finished just as well as the best out there. I keep tell'n ya come up to the GC and check mine out. I'll even let you have a drive Or just get a Naut' like everyone else?

Any year Mastercraft 205V hull

You might be able to find a 2005 Malibu VLX for close to 35k.
Any year Sanger V215
Any year Sanger V210
2006-present Moomba Mobius LSV

This boat is 2 blocks from my work and would look pretty nice without the stupid flames. They are just a sticker though so could easily be removed.

Kinda not related because the interior room is crap, but is Standard Boats still in business?

If you can increase your spending limit a little you might be able to get a VTX. My VTX has a great wakeboard and surfing wake. One key thing though, if you get the power wedge make sure you get one with the ballast up front.

Boats I rode in 2010...

Sanger V210 - My boat. Run 1000#-2300#. Everyone likes... Low gas consumption. The limit on the V210 is speed. Riders who like to go over 25 may find that the smaller size of this boat makes it tough to keep the wake really large. With #2300 in the boat...we ride at about 22.5-24. If you ride 25+ though...the wake size starts to drop rapidly. To keep the wake up at that speed...I think you need to run #2500-3000 or more...and that is just too much, IMO, for a boat this size with such low freeboard. I know people do it...but I am conservative I guess. Then again...I don't like to ride fast like that...so it does not matter to me.

Prostar 205V - Also excellent. 0-3000#. This wake can go bigger than the V210...scary huge in fact...but slightly less steep. The trough is deeper though...so if you go a little long...the landings are uphill. That can hurt... Either go W2W....or take it well into the flats. Going 4' too long is not fun. Great wake.

03 SAN 210 - With weight...it is steep steep steep and hard as concrete. To really enjoy this wake...I think you need to be a very consistent rider. If your take offs are not consistent...you will take some beatdowns. I did....
