We got an X-Star here with that insane Billet sided tower with the most impressivly over engineered racks on the planet to start with. That's been hooked up with 2 bass driver, four 6-1/2" separates and a light bar - Max pimped! What are you amping those with? That must do great.

The guy with the first pic, that is pretty pimp if you ask me. I wouldnt mind a new xstar with all that. I got a ski boat with only 2 board racks and a bimini, how do you think I feel with my ultra-non pimp set up.

Hey Bill (monstertower), Can you put 2 pairs of those Kickers of yours on a Swoop/Wakesetter combo (see my profile for a picture of the boat)? Just curious, those Kickers of yours seem to be an awful lot of bang for the buck.

Bill, Nice tower setup on the Tige. I see you are sponsoring Jeff and Cathy. That's really cool. What a great team! Both are very talented and very laid back. My wife bought me lessons with them on my old X-9 in 2002. Talk about win-win. Something for everyone! Congratulations and good luck with the sponsorship. Jeff and Cathy will be good Monster ambassadors!

Bill, that looks awesome. Jeff & Cathy must be stoked. I spoke to Cathy a few weeks ago at the NZ nationals and she couldn't wait to pick up that 24V.

Matt The lights are from M/C by designs here is the link http://www.mymastercraft.com/pages/lightpodspeaker.htm. The lights themselves are made by CATZ and are 55watts.

It looks like 50% of the United States owns a Mastercraft x-star. The most expensive boat on the market and so many people have them? Is it that good of a boat? I would like to see how good you are to have such a nice boat because I see these guys with 50k$ boats who cant even jump the wake.

that is a good point, i have a friend whose parents bought an X-10 wakeboard edition and he can't even clear the wake. Many people are buying the best boats out to have them. It looks bad when someone who has a top of the line boat and the rider is bad.

I personally don't think it looks bad at all if a person has a top of the line wakeboard boat and is not that good. As long as they are having fun isn't that what it is all about? I mean we all know that wakeboard boats are some of the best if not the best made boats on the market. Quality and contruction wise I mean. Do you not remember when you were a newbie and weren't that good? Did you not yearn to have a nive boat like some of the other guys on the lake? And there is no need to be hatin' on some other people who are more fortunate than others and can have a nice boat from the get go. It's all about fun I say. I mean I know for our purposes we chose to buy our boat, a malibu VLX because of its quality and contruction, not just how big of a wake it throws. I mean I myself and the people I ride with aren't the best on the lake. When we started out behind a bayliner with a pylon and progressed to just last summer doing W2W 3's. But for the most part we are just about having fun. And I think that this sport is all about really; having fun. So before you go and think about how stupid someone looks, remember you were once that guy once, no matter what boat you are behind. In my opinion it's just like the guy who owns a Porsche 911 and always obeys the speed limit. As long as he's happy that's all that matters to him. Sorry for the long post but I am just tired of guys being hated on for no reason. Happy Riding.

Don, do you like the sound of your fusion speakers more than your old boss? What is the difference. ANd why did you decide to change dont they have the same speakers just different cans?

Jared, I like the Fusion speakers much better than the Boss. They are not the same speakers Boss uses MB quartz and the Fusion uses Diamond Audio For their speakers. I also decided to make the change for the looks I personally like the design of the Fusion speakers nothing bad about the Boss just in my opinion I happened to like the design aspect better. Also once again my opinion that Diamond Audio speakers give a much cleaner full sound.

I would agree with that Don. I have 2 sets of Boss speakers on my tower and I rode for a few days last week behind a boat with your exact set up with the Fusion speakers. I have more power going to our Boss speakers and the Fusions sounded better. I tend to turn my tower speakers down though so I don't piss everyone off at the lake, but I thought they were excellent. Are your Fusion speakers oxidizing at all? The ones I saw were a month old and looked like they had been out on the ocean for 3 years. I think Fusion is taking care of them on that.

Brent, Yes they are oxidizing. I called Fusion and explained to them what the situation was and they overnighted a new set to me. Fusion said a few made it thru their factory without a protective coating on them.

There's no reason to be bitter about people who aren't that great but have great boats. It allows the manufactures to make more of them (which will bring down the price for everyone), allows for more innovation, and will put some great boats on the used market a few years down the road. Be happy my friends. I personally think it's awesome when beginners have sweet boats... I'll take a set behind an x-star, SAN, VLX, etc. in exchange for a lesson Any takers?

Good to hear they are taking care of you Don. Wasn't trying to make them look bad, was just curious if anyone else had that problem. The speakers sound great.
