Funny man. 74* is warm. Is was 10* less last week riding with a heater shirt felt great. Water was warmer than the air so it felt great getting in.

The water in Dallas yesterday morning was 64 and the air was around 55. A heater top was more than fine.

Water was in the high fifties last Sunday with a twenty mile an hour breeze blowing and I still boarded and surfed. It was white capping a bit.

Haha! I guess we have it good down south. 74 is cool but very doable. Put on a heater top and it will feel like summer time! Our water this weekend was 74 but the air was in the 60's. With a heater top it was cool at first but then felt great!

You guys down south are extremely lucky. 74 is around the warmest my lake gets all season

Old     (joe_crawley)      Join Date: Jan 2007       10-04-2009, 8:52 PM Reply
haha, if we saw a kid riding in a heater top in 74 degree water with air in the 70s we'd all be rolling on the ground laughing. That said I'm very jealous- until the snow gets here at least

74? If you have to ask, you should probably just stay in the house by the fireplace.

Also in MN, too scared to know the water temp. I don't think water temp got about 70 all summer. No joke.

Where do you ride Mark? We have 70 degree water temps in late August/early Sept.

fast the past week after the cold weather and rain.

This morning at Lake Sammamish it was 46 air and 61 water. I wore a spring wet suit and it wasn't bad, just a little chilly on my arms while riding. To warm up just let go of the rope and let the water warm you up and then you can ride again...

49 Degree water temp already? Wow that didnt take long to cool off. I rode in 77 degree water this past Friday.

We had a REALLY warm September and then all of sudden it cooled off like CRAZY and we had 3 days of constant, cold rain.. It went downhill FAST.. Literally dropped 20+ degrees in 10 days..

YUCK.

Minnesota sucks.

Yeah, we are nutty but it's either that or quit riding on September 1st. We do what we gotta do.
