we have a malibu response which I believe is a 2004. where on the boat can I look to be sure of the year.

last two digits of your H.I.N.

Look on the back end top right and look at the hull ID. the last 2 #'s should be the year.

It will be on the hull ID #, right side of transom by the rear eyelet. Last two digits indicate year of the boat.

As mentioned, the last 2 digits give the model year of the boat. The letter and number in front of this tell the build month and year.

H708 would be a September '07 build date with an '08 model year. Months are A=Jan, B= Feb and so on.
