x7 and prostar 197

Just a general questions, is the x7 just the 'X' version of the prostar 197? Looking for a boat that's a couple year old and couldn't see any difference.

We ski 50%, board and other activities 50%, plus we are not very good at wakeboarding so a perfect wakeboard wake is not even in the top 10 things that we are looking for. Thanks for your answer.

You got it. Same boat except the 'X' series package includes ballast and tower. Although you can get the ballast and tower with a prostar paint scheme!! Great all around boat. A very flat ski wake and an alright wake for beginner to intermediate wakeboarders.

ok. The prostar I saw had an aftermarket tower, no factory ballast.

But having factory ballast would be cool to add a bit of bulk to the wake.

Same exact situation with the X-9 (my boat) and a 205. Just a little bigger. Good ski boat wake makes a good wake board wake when sacked out. The 197 and 205 hulls in my opinion are legendary.

David, the hull on the X9 and the 205 hull are very different. The x series of the 205 was the xstar, then x2 and now x1. The PS 209 and x9 are the same. Just FYI.

Yep you are right I meant the 209

They are the same boat. I would't buy one if you carry lots of people. Boat is only rate for 1200lbs. They get swampped easily then you have many other problems. They are better boats out there for that kind on money.
