Hi all,

Well, the time has come for me to change the oil on my vessel. So, no one seems to know what filter I'll need if I just go to a place like Pep boys and get a "normal" automotive filter. Does someone have a part# they could give me so I can pick up a filter? The boat places want about 3 times the cost of an automotive one, plus the invconvienence of them not being open after work is a pain to pick one up. Can anyone hook me up here?

Plus, my manual asks for a full flow filter? Is this some special kind?

Thx!

Not really sure about the full flow thing, but...

The PCM 5.8 Liter (351 ci) engine is a FORD engine. Just look up F-150 or F-250 from your year with a 5.8 Liter, that will be the corresponding auto filter.

Your manual also says to use leaded gas.....

I use a Fram PH8A or equivalent in my 98 Ski Nautique with the PCM 351ci motor.

Full flow is a regular automotive filter.

Use a Fram PH8A equivalent, but please do not use an actual Fram filter. They are one of the worst filters out there. Pennzoil and Quaker State are rebadged Fram filters as well. Use a Purolator, AC Delco, Motorcraft, Napa, Mobile One, K&N. Just please stay away from Fram junk.
