Has any body experienced a problem with their fuel pump, fuel in general or fuel filters?

Fuel filters are to be changed prior your first run of the year.
Fuel pumps go out if you run out of gas and the pump runs dry for a while. Or if you own an 02-05 MC.
Fuel in general shouldn't have water or other contaminants in it. If your boat has been sitting for several years, your fuel may become "sludgy" and slowly lose octane; or contain the prior mentioned water.

Many boaters have experienced "Fuel problems". Come on in and tell us what's going on.

Ours runs sketchy in the spring because of winter blend gas. It causes our boat to vapor lock after we sit for a while.

Patrick, what engine is in the 'bu? Is it fuel injected or carb?

Mine is Fuel injected. I was wakeboarding and wondering why my father stopped. The boat stalled out on him. We tried starting it up and it wouldnt. Got towed half way back and the boat started again and ran. The next day I took it out for a ride because we replaced new fuel filter. It ran perfect so I filled the whole tank up. Took it out again for a ride and stalled out on me.

I think maybe because of Vapor lock Im not sure yet. It ran fine the other day. Ran the boat hard to see if it will stall again and it didn't. I live in the Northeast and we just put our boat in from the winter 2 weeks ago.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago, but my boat would run fine only in low rpms's.

Ended up checking the fuel lines and they were completely shredded on the inside from sitting with bad ethanol fuel in them. I swapped my filter, cleaned out my fuel pump, replaced the lines and everything is golden.

Yeah when the first time it stalled we took the filter out and the fuel was a little dirty. The next day when I stalled out again it had no fuel in it. Then the other day when I took it for a ride came back to dock looked at filter and it was full of fuel and it was clean.
