What is the setup you guys use to surf behind an 07 xstar-type hull?

Just got one and went out on it last weekend, and the surfing wake was less than desirable. Granted, we only had 2 people in the boat while pulling a surfer, but I thought the wake would be better. We had the Port and KGB ballast filled all the way up and were going about 10.5 mph.

Any x star owners - How have you dialed in the wake?

X-star wake is soooo damn hard to get, and to add to that im goofy, it took around 2800 lbs of sacs to get it big but it wasnt very clean. But since your on the port side you in luck. I talked to my buddy darren and trevor at my dealer, and their advice was to not use the stock rear ballast, its not place right. And make sure that you weight the whole port side! not just the rear, i had a 750 and a 250 in the front i took on some water, but its all good. Just make sure to evenly distribute the weight and you should be okay.

The biggest thing I have found is the more weight the better and also the deeper the water is helps out. With several people in the back you can get a killer surf wake.
