there was a post on here about which lake and marina in Tenn for house boating
I remember that Dale Hollow won by a landslide but can't recall the recommended marina
someone said that a particular place had newer boats without smelly carpet

did a search, but have had no luck
can anyone help?

I believe the one I've used is called Eagles Cove marina, houseboats are pretty nice. Beautiful lake, great water, not crowded at all

On a related subject, does anyone know of a place that rents cabins on the lake with a dock? Looking for something in the KY,TN area.

Here's a link to Flat Hollow Marina http://www.flathollowmarina.com on Norris Lake in TN. They have houseboats, cabins, and Floating Houses. If you go east up the river, it's the best water in TN for wakeboarding.

i stayed at sulfur creek last year. they rent houseboats and cabins. when you rent a cabin you can get a slip. the only thing is that you ahve to walk about 150 yards or so to the slip. its not a bad little place to rent. i have gotten a cabin and a houseboat there, would definitely rent through them again.

My vote is for Sunset Marina. The cabins are pretty nice and you get a covered dock. The Marina is right on the Obey River which is glass for a couple miles no matter the weather conditions. The Mountains line the river so not much wind gets down to the water level. Great people there too!!

There are some marinas with cabins but if you are going to make the trip houseboat is the way to go in my opinion. Its my home lake and we rent a houseboat ther every year. try suplhercreek, eaglescreek, wolfcreek, and sunsetmarina. I have stayed at wolf creek cabins before, they arent fancy but they are clean and really close to the water. my 2 cents anyway
