I am riding a new Trip now but miss my Balance. Only thing with the Balance is the hard landings. I like the speed and landings on the Trip but would like a lil more pop.

My question is how would the Watson or the PS3 compare to the Trip as far as speed and pop.

Would love to find a board like the Balance but softer landings.

The Watson is built for pop ,I think the PS3 is more into flats type board

I think the Shane is closest to the Balance. I rode a Balance for 2 years, but was also wanting something with softer landings. I tried the Watson, but it is more like riding the Balance without the center fin; it's a bit loose.

The Shane is still looser than the Balance, but when you get it on edge it tracks just like the Balance. The speed is the same (fast), the pop is better, and the landings are oh so much softer.

I haven't ridden the PS3.

I love my PS3. It pop really well, not as high as the Watson. It lands really really soft, but I heard the Watson lands just as soft if not a little more. Not sure I've never ridden a Watson, but I really want to.

Remember your talking about switching from a continuous rocker board to a 3-stage!

The Balance is a subtle 3-stage (hybrid), not a true continuous.

Rode a Substance and liked it, but landings were hard on the knee's. Not worried about it being a three stage if it has the speed and softer landings.

the lyman was design after Keith rode the trip, shane and team regularly. So it'll have the speed of the trip with the 3-stage rocker line like the shane. plus he wanted a soft landing board which he succeeded in
