What's the best way to cut EVENLY through 3/4 HDPE plastic. Going to try my hand at making a surf gate.

I use a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade. Cuts through like butter or straight cuts. If making a tight curve or turn it will begin to melt the HDPE and gum up some because of the friction. Not too bad to deal with though. If only making straight cuts a circular saw would do too. Basically whatever you'd use to cut plywood will work just as well on HDPE.

Thanks!!! Didn't think about it getting hot and possibly melting.

Table saw. Clean it up with a belt sander. Chop or miter saw also works well depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

Basic straight cuts, clamp it down and use a circular saw if you don't have a table saw. You can round off edges with a jig saw or a sander/grinder.
