Looking for feedback, suggestions and experience on how you keep your front foot planted. I currently use a traction pad on my Walker project. When I rode with Mr. Harold I noticed he used wax for the front foot, as well as our hosts. When I ocean surfed back in the 80's, we only had wax.

Thanks in advance!

Here in Minnesota, it doesn't make sense to use wax. Not only is it a lot of work, the water temps change too drastically to keep up with the proper wax to use. Plus, I wouldn't want to track any wax into the boat.

i am a fan of using both. little topping wax on the traction makes it super tacky. Mostly i stick with the traction becuase i really like to have a raised center bar of a traction pad.

Hydro Turf with bubblegum wax on top.
Keep the board in a reflective bag while in the boat keeps the mess to a minimum.

Hydro-Turf traction works great in all kinds of weather conditions and is used by many of the top Professional Wakesurf riders.

Wax sux, melts on the sun and gets all over Yur boat. It also pushes when you press hard against it. I would only use it for R&D work .
