I've been in the market and looking at the 08 LSV, have an I/O to trade, time to upgrade, The dealer has a few LSV's pretty much loaded for ~42-43k. Is it like a car dealership and can haggle the price down? The sign says its already 5k off for summer clearance... What % markup should I expect to come off... What is a decent price?

example boat...
325 MPI Indmar Engine, Appearance Package
(Docking Lights, SS Rubrail, Cleats, Guide Pole Covers) , AM/FM CD MP3 Stereo w/amp, Rear
Remote, Mp3 Jack, Snap on Covers, Bimini, Depth Finder, Gravity III Ballast, Hydraulic Wakeplate,
Wakeboard Racks, Perfect Pass, Tandem Axle Trailer, some include the z5 cargo rack...

Thanks for the info, never dealt with boat dealers before...

this time of the year you should be able to get more off.

i have always purchased my inboards this time of the year and have always gotten between 12-15% off invoice

is the invoice you are referring to the price with options as priced on the moomba website or the advertised price after their "summer clearance discount"

If you can find a 2008 Moomba Mobius LSV with all the extras you have listed for $42-$43K, that is an exceptional price as is. I would consider offering slightly less ($1-$2K) and see what they say, but the price they are asking is pretty damn rock bottom with all the extras they put on there. Just my opinion, but based on getting a good boat show deal on a 2004 Mobius LSV without the depth finder, snap on cover, tandem axle, 325 MPI (mine has the 310HP carbureted engine), and just the Bertha Ballast I for around $35K in January 2004.

I bought a leftover 07 LSV with all the options you listed except for the perfect pass and tandem trailer, I did get the Z5 cargo rack. I paid $38K for it. You should be able to get them off the price some.

Tailgate,

I just recieved the 2k off any 08 models in the mail and threw it away. If you can get your hands on one i will give you my info and transfer it to you. It is kind of like a vendor credit to the dealer so they will still except it while still negotiating.

I bought my 2007 LSV last year in June and paid 47K after taxes. I think it had every option except the tower speakers and amp.

If you can get one with the Z5 for 42 out the door (including TT&L) you will be doing pretty good. Make sure they upgrade it to the wakeboard prop though cause when you decide to load it down eventually, you will NEED it. It is only like $100 to upgrade to it, worth every penny. Are you dealing with Ronnie or Dennis?

Insuranceman,

I seriously doubt that you are buying boats at 12%-15% below dealer cost, as that is what "invoice" means. I know, with in a couple hundred dollars, what invoice is on that boat and no dealer in their right mind would take that kinda hit. I believe you may mean 12%-15% below the dealer's "sticker" price or MSRP?

Tailgate,

There is room to work there, but all depends on the local market and kind of season your dealer is having. $.02
