It's been 12 days since I put out the first part of the Gnarley Harley series. Thanks to everyone it's gotten over 14k views. This time we had the chase boat and even Harley woke up for the morning session
I wish it wasnt so overcast but what can you do.
Gnarley Harley 2010 Part2!
Enjoy
Yeah Jarrod he doesnt mess around
thanks Jessica, I'm glad you realized how it's different. its all about the angles.
Thanks Derry you know I will!
Brian, wasnt that method ? either way. he killed it for sure!
Im gonna go watch the vid again now :]]]
Not trying to start a debate on this thread, but I have always been under the impression that A Method is a trick by itself since you grab then pull the board up and push the tail towards the boat and that you could only do Method Grabs and glides, but I could be wrong, your the man that was there and shooting it so you probably know better than me. Anyways what is the name of the song though Norbi?
I think you might just be absolutely right Brian either way Harley killed it and it was awesome to shoot.
the songs name is at the end of the video.
yeah brian he does need to switch hands. especially on that trick. nuts
thank you Jeff :] I'm trying my best 2 keep em' coming.
Looked method to BS to me but a judge official I am not. Wow. Nothing looks hucked - his landings are soooo clean and balanced. Thanks for the treat Norbi.
Norbs, is he going for a double cork on that toe 9 because that is what it kind of looked like. Went semi off axis on the first 5 then definitely purposely took it more off axis on the rest of the 3. I love how he is doing that Rathy style heelside spin really exaggerating the hips with almost a double corked style to it.
I will be the official judge and say that it is definitely method although method and melon are one in the same. A pete with that grab is a method pete, not a melon pete, but melon at the same time is used more in tricks with 180 variations ie melon off axis 180 or melon glide to fakie or melon 180 wing, whatever you like to call them lol where if it was an off 3, i would call it a method 3. Really makes no difference and both can be used interchangeably except of course with a true method grab or a method glide. Now if method was being used as a specific trick, then i have never seen a true method glide because it would pretty much have to look like a nuclear glide (rusty or lyman style) in order to get the back to the boat, where generally a method glide is just looked at as a hoochie glide except the board is at your side instead of over your head. I've tried to do some method glides where i get my back really turned but it generally just winds up to be more of a method grab without much glide in it. Looks cool but just hard to get it to float behind you like that for some reason unlike a nuclear glide which goes that way naturally.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dkygiX8txg 2:40, Phil has been doing that move for years... I've only seen him throw it in comp a small handful of times, but I think he might have to make it a standard trick with harley doing it aswell
I need to think about this for a few minutes.......i watched it like 10 times. I am not even sure any one understands what they are watching here......Let me think I will post what I talking about in a bit.

Yeah I know I quoted myself.
i watched this at least 10 more time.
What I meant by my comment was that this is that I dont even think any really realizes how freaking amazing this kid is. Yeah he killed on the tour, yeah he is a solid contest rider. But the level he is riding at is totally different than anyone else. Just look at the tricks he is doing with relaive ease, Grabbed Back mobe Five, Grabbed Blind petes, Whirly 7s, KGD 5's, W2W Heel Nine, TS BS 5s, Switch Petes, Clean and good looking Crow Mobe 5's, grabbed W2W TS 9s, Fronts to Blind, Mody 5's or hs bs off 5 whatever you wanna call it, Hell he even make typically ugly tricks like a Slim look good. Yeah they have all be done before but I doubt many out there have them all on what seems like "lock" like Harley. I honestly think that Harely is the best wakeboard in the business right now. I hope ever one realized the level this kid is at and he is only 17. If he stays healthy I dont think any one will be able to touch him on the tour this year. just look at the list of tricks I rattled off, imagine that being he's contest run. he's a freak!
You forgot to mention his switch and regular BS 7's and HS FS 9's! This kid is un-real once he nails a 1080 the rest of the wakeboard competition riders better watch out.
Justin are you sure you were watching the right movie ?:] its in there I promise you.
and his kgb 5 is a Switch KGB5. just for the record.
Harley = Sickness!
hey, a great thank you to Norbi for such an incredible film clip, the camera work and angles have taken it to a new level, look how good he has made Harley look.
Amazing tricks
I'd suggest you all just make a list of tricks he HASN'T landed in these clips, it'd be a lot easier (and shorter) than keeping track of everything he has.
Smoke and mirrors.... Norbi's editing skills are just getting better. I bet Harley can barely do a backroll, no one can really do all of those tricks. Or maybe Norbi is bringing clips back from the future. Either way, I have watched the video about 30 times.
Showed it to a friend that doesn't know much about wakeboarding and they sat with their jaw wide open. lol Pretty F' in sweet.
My Question: Is that wake he is on bigger than what they ride on the pro tour? Wake size and shape definately comes into play. I know this from my big ol fat ass.
can someone label the tricks? I cant tell what any of those are

Thanks for the trick list andy! I am having difficulty seeing the difference between the pete and blind pete. It looks like he can see his landing easier on the blind pete than the regular pete. What am I missing? 2:10 for petes and 3:14 for blind pete I believe.

Reason: adding times.
Ok I just looked up the trick definitions. Pete has the frontside rotation and blind pete has the bs rotation. It is still tough for me to see the rotations with the roll in there lol. I can only tell the difference at the end.
Nintzel, pretty close cept that was a Moby Dick 5 def not a back off 5 cuz a moby dick 5 would actually be more like an off back ole 9 and then there was Whirly Dick, not a Whirly 7 like parks hit in shafted.
