Not sure if this has been posted or not but I found this on youtube and I thought I'd share since there's so many fans of him on here. Not feelin the hat while riding but it's a cool video with a lot of his riding.

Nice post!

Looks like he was riding the recruit but were those slingshot bindings?

Also, he wasn't riding a Company wakeskate proto type or anything right ? I saw him with the Company vest but I am not sure what skate that was.

He was wearing the Company vest though, that one shot of Byerly was of him wearing an Oneill.

I would say he is rocking the GB CT binding on his Company. Not a bad rider and inspires me to hit the water every time I see him. Good luck in 2009 Randall...

Those look to me like the 08 Gonzales binding from Gator. Why would he be riding that binding on his Company board? It almost looks like he is riding that board with a single center fin

That first trick, his toe melon backside 3 was ridiculous. So much style. I dont think the flex boards has affected his style at all.

Nice find. Does Randall wakeskate at all? I have never seen the Vandall on a skate before. I think it would be cool given his background. He always talks about being a skater first before finding wake. I wonder if he will make a transition like Byerly and skate more when he feels he has done all he can on a wakeboard. I wonder when the footage was shot. Company's bindings may not have been out yet and thus the GB bindings. Just a thought.

I think he went rather huge in several of those shots. I don't know if you're one to think flex boards don't get ya up there... but take a look at these none the less

there were some other good height/distance shots, but you all get the idea.

sure someone can post an iconic shot of him going bigger, but every rider has those somewhat rare historic shots.

... shoot, on another note. soo many people of all riding levels agree that flex boards take some time getting used to, maybe some of them are still settling in to the ride and feel a little... stressing a "little!" I bet we will start seeing a lot more action (from everyone) especially as it gets warmer

are you guys sure that randall's new board is a flex board? i've been reading about the board and ive read nothing about it being able to flex. Also, in the video it doesnt look like its flexing.

He was riding the GB Gonzales CT's, probably because Company hadn't come out with their bindings yet, though they do look very similar to the PB Floyds in black...

that last shot in the middle, is one of the coolest looking grabs I have ever seen.
I can't dispute he is going big, but I dont think he is going any bigger on this board, than any of his older days. I can imagine though, that the landings on this board are much, much softer. could be part of the reason he switched over to this style of board. (among other things) his knees can only take so much more punishment. a softer landing board helps those who take tricks into the flats on a regular basis.

Randall is in fact riding the 143 Recruit. Three fins on each end for Randall cause he likes a little more grip. It does have flex built in due to the materials used to construct it.

At the time this video was filmed we didn't not have bindings for Randall so he stuck with what he was riding. Plus they match the board perfectly.
