I read somewhere that Zane Schwenk rides the standard model of the Absolute board and not the Platinum. Does any know if that's true or not?

That sounds right. a lot of the pros ride the regular boards...not the higher priced ultra core models.

I seen him ride both. If you look he rides the regular absolute at comps but on other photo shoots and stuff he rides the platinum. I guess it all depends on what he feels like riding that day.

I called and asked Justin at CWB and he said that that Zane rides both, depending on what he has with him at the time. Which may indicate that the Platinum board may not be any advantage at all to a rider at his level. Whether or not it's any advantage for me...I still don't know. The Plat's supposedly a little stiffer and a pound lighter, which may give a little more pop. But would I notice it....doubtful. If you've ridden both. Let me know what you think. Thanks

That most certainly is Zane. In regards to noticing the difference, you certainly will. It just comes to what one you prefer. Since it's stiffer it also lands a little harder. I prefer the regular one but the Platinum is lighter and that is always fun to have.

Just got back from Cope's, picked up the standard blue Absolute 141. Should be a good board for me, probably don't need the Plat...but always on a quest for the best anyhow. Whether it makes any sense or not. Ahhh toys.
