Just thought I'd post a few pics of the new cover I just bought. I think it looks pretty slick. The cover is custom made by Rankin up here in Seattle. I want to thank Brent Huling for steering me in the right direction, Paul at Bake's Marine for helping me with the logistics, and Jeremy for custom fitting my Belmonts while I was waiting. Bake's Marine definitely gets my vote for customer service. Thanks Guys Cliff

Cliff, glad to hear your were well taken care of. Those covers are probably the best investment you can make in your boat. I am on my 3rd now (3rd boat). Paul is a great guy to work with...he does all the work on my boat. The cover looks great!

I have two of those covers... don't ask. They are great for towing, keeps all of the junk out of the boat. When it's a bit rainy, keeps all mist/dirt out of the boat for towing too. That looks sharp on Cliff's boat.

I've got a guy local here that makes 'em custom too. I was just kind of wondering ball park. I think I got a quote of around $500.00 for a stock canvas one for my Tige', but it has to get cut up for the tower legs... Not a biggie..

Brent, I'm sorry, bro, but I don't think I've ever seen your boat cover. Remember, we haven't ridden together since the fall! Since then, people towed w/ their cover on. But hey, your boat cover's bad ass!!! (Message edited by dakid on April 10, 2003)

I wouldn't tow without one. You can throw everything in the boat and not worry about it flying out, and your boat stays clean. They aren't lined, just made of sunbrella fabric. No need to be lined. These covers are really tight. They cinch down so tight, that the water runs right off the covers. No need to put any sticks up in the middle to hold the cover up. They cinch down in the back with a rope that runs all the way around the boat under the rubrails. Also, most of these covers have hooks from the back corners up to the towers. You can somewhat see the outlines of them in John's Mastercraft. The cover flat out does not move, even at highway speeds and does not harm the gel coat. Extremely good looking, waterproof, breathable, and towable. A great addition to any boat. Man, I should be selling these the way I promote them!

aunmari, I can't tell you for sure on price as I added it after my sale agreement and my dealer didn't charge me. I think they are around $1000 but not sure. Rankin is a company in Seattle but you may try contacting some local dealers and see if they can get one for you.

Here is a shot of my boat with a Rankkin cover. Thanks for the pull today Cliff! I was just getting used to the Moby wake before it smacked me around! Nothing a handful of Canadian Tylenols is not fixing right now!!!

Sean, Did the logo come with the cover or did you get it made? I was thinking of getting a xstar logo put on mine. Does it leak at all where the logo was sewn?

John - The cover came with the logo. It does not leak there at all. The only place it could be better is around the tower cut outs. I think that I have seen some people with "socks" there to keep all of the water out. When towing in the rain (I live in Seattle!) it gets a bit wet/dirty under the cuts. Nothing a quick wipe with a towel can't take care of. Steve - Those are Niles OS-10 on the tower. I just picked up the second set an put them up with a set of Ryno-Gear brackets. The single set of Niles was loud enough to barely hear when riding, I think the second set fixes that...
