In short, dont be dumb and check you level after an oil change. This is why common sense should be renamed uncommon sense. If it was common, we wouldnt see warnings like these.
FYI, I called PCM and they told me this (including the enhanced dipstick) was only for 6.0 liter engines - which is why I was not notified for my 343 engine (they have been getting lots of calls about it from people whose engines are not affected).
