Go up the Virgin River stretch and at the end where it opens up into a big round area there is a killer area against a cliff you can ride when it's blowing. When the wind is calm, the whole Virgin River stretch is butter. If you're shore camping there are some good spots up near the end of V. River. We found a dried up creek bed between two cliffs that was perfect, but I have a feeling it it were to rain really hard, that might not have been the best spot, but it was cool when we were there. It was a little cove, and the boat was sheltered from the waves & wind. Hope that helps! Make sure to post pictures!
