fiberglass / resin speaker cans

I have seen some pretty narly stuff done with a wooden frame laying some fabrick over the frame and then using resin to create the exterior.
is it hard?
I checked out diytower.com and couldnt find anything...
does anybody have any documentation that shows how they did theirs with some simple instruction, or just general rule of thumbs to follow.
