Maybe too many beers, maybe not. If your out at night, it's really easy to get disorientated on the water especially if your not used to being out there at night.

brett,

I was about to post a pic of that boat, it looks tiny in that pic in reality it was a 33' sea ray, almost brand new

Ryan,
Do you have any idea what happened there? I figured it was just some drunk who was unfamiliar with the lake at night.

A few years ago a house boat sunk right in front of chicken creek island. It was pretty fun just to watch them bring it back up, it took about 3 days i think.

no i'm not sure what happened yet, from what i heard it was a kid out with his dads boat he just stuck in that bad storm at 9ish and was trying to get back to the marina and didn't quite go the right way

he had to have been going way to fast for the conditions to be able to get that boat all the way out of the water... we started riding at 7 sunday morning along that shoreline and the troopers were writeing him a ticket. they keep that boat on the same dock my parents keep theirs so i'm sure i'll find out next weekend

Haha, i couldnt imagine doing that to my dads boat. We were actually headed up to the dam from terrapin creek when we saw that storm coming in. But as soon as we turned the corner and saw the clouds, it was back to the dock for us.

That 9pm storm was freaky. One minute it was fine. The next minute, we had 5' rollers pounding our dock for like an hour. We yarded out 7 boats from our dock. And stashed 2 others in the channel out of the wind.

Our neighbor had an X-star tied to his floating dock. The waves were hitting it so hard the tower was beating on the dock!
