I am new to wakesurfing. Just picked up first inboard boat coming from I/O. We have a 2004 malibu wakesetter vlx. I need some help on picking out a board. I have been reading around some thinking of 5'3' board. I need a basic board and one that many people can learn on. I am 5'11 180lbs. Any help would be great. Thanks

there are a bunch of boards. get something fast, from a wakesurf board co, maybe a blue lake, swallow, there are many. I had the same boat, you will need alot of weight to get an ok surf wave. at least 1200lbs plus the stock balast. hope this helps

If I could pick one board that is great for both beginners and advanced riders, and is great on small, medium and large wakes, no question it would be the Inland Surfer Swallow (not the Carbon version, just the normal version).
