Tige to switch engines again

I heard through the grapevine that Tige will switch engine manufactures again can that be true??

I guess anything is possible, but I highly doubt it. Tige has had great success with the marine powers. We (Tige owners) just don't have engine problems.... not counting the 6.0L crowd

They wouldn't be offering a VW. If they offered one it would be the Diesel from perf prod tech... who happens to be one of their dealers.

It's already in two or three tiges.

Quite honestly, I doubt we'll ever see many diesel's until prices get more realistic. When they are charging between $20-$30K upcharge for the motor... it's just not feasible.

The VW mastercraft option is $27K

We will find out at the dealers meeting. Was scheduled July 21 or there about..... Rescheduled for another time but haven't found out which date.

I wonder if these new engines include a Lifetime Replacement Warranty like their hulls?

If we on WW ran Tige and were contemplating changing engine brands, which would we go too?

That's a good question JK. Cause Id vote to keep MP! And I think the majority of us Tige owners would agree!

I'm gonna be pissed if they go back to Merc. God I hope not! Their inboards suck!!!!

Never had a problem with my mercs the only complaint I have is I wish they had a higher HP engine that was not a big block.

The question is if the engines are so good why are they changing

Oh and if they make a change I bet it is to PCM. All the engine snobs I have met have been of the PCM variety.

i wouldn't mind the switch back to Merc. There are a lot more Merc dealers out there so getting parts is really easy anywhere you go. and Merc has a huge warehouse here in Fresno that I can pick up and part from anytime. I love the Marine Powers and think they are great motors but think the Merc's are just as good. I might have to give my rep a call on this one hahaha

Tanner, no I am not working with the dealer. Just have two boats and one of them is being sold so I am at the dealership a lot lately. Not to mention Cancer 4 Kids cause that is being put on by the dealer and tigeblue that I am helping out with.
