3 S-Bends at Board-Up

I was really excited to see 3 competitors throw down S-Bends at Board-UP. I have not seen them in a long time but I think they are so stylish compared to just a glide.

Who got to name that trick?

S-bend was invented by Shannon Best back in the day. I'd say it was in '96 or so.

I was told by Gerry Nunn, that it is called the "s" bend because.... (and don't hold me to the story because it's been a while)

The "S" stand for the rear of a toilet bowl where it s's into the main drain. And if you didn't land the trick that you were in deep Sh-t or not landing it would be the same as getting flushed.

Again it's been a while, but you get the general idea

I heard the same thing. That part of the toliet is called a S-bend, and if you don´t make it, it will suck you down like a toilet. Actually, I think that was a wakeboarding trivia question a couple of years ago at the other wakeboard site.

I believe the S-Bend is from an Australian toilet but could be wrong.

Best invented it in 95

Yep. In Australia the back part of the toilet is called an s-bend. And knowing the Australian sense of humour, Rmack's probably right.
