We did a nighttime ride about a week and a half ago. No plans to stop riding, just slows up as air temps drop.

This was from this saturday, I love this picture. RJ was trying some new fins that he really loved, and they just look really cool also. Whitney apparently thought so, and so took a close up and it looks cool.

New JW PM's? Are those the ones with some of the rocker change's from the OG version or just pretty new paint? It rained today so we didn't get a chance to try the new c-5's I was thinking of trying the black stix Al Merrick's on there too we'll fiddle with it.

Good eye! The one with the pink nose is a duplicate for the new season. The other with the orange and read fade on the tail is slightly different. Different stringers and different fin pod arrangement.

The Balck sticks are great fins. The VF 3/2/1's also work well. If you go to the Futures site and use their select a fin guide for the thruster's , I've had great luck for all of the "mushy" surf options.

Rode yesterday in Ohio. 68 air temps, 58 water surface temps---nothing but trunks and a life jacket. I did ride just the big board as keeping hypothermia to a minimum was the priority of the day.

Good to be out. Boat goes to bed this Friday

Hmmm... Let's see winter sports in Ohio? The highest ski slope has well over 300 feet of elevation, woop-woop.

It's gets cold and it does snow. Sometimes the some the snow stays for quite a while. Most of the time it's just cold and the snow just turns in to enough slope to make it messy and cause car crashes.

You guys in the fair weather states or real winter states have a lot more to work with.

I will try for some pics later in the week, but we rode on Sat, Nov 15. The air was 82 and the water was still 76. lovin it, but the cold front that came through will drop the water to the 60's till March.

We're headin' up to our place in northern MI this weekend and were talking about getting some runs in just to say we did it, but it's in the high 20's and about 5 inches of snow! Don't think so. This guy would do it, though.

in this part of warm Florida (Clermont), the water temp went up to 64 yesterday!

Nice flat water out there though. Great surfing day.

Where's this 70 degree water at?

Spent the day with a friend on Lake June in Lake Placid Florida and the water temp hit 72 today combined with the air around 82 the day could not have been better.

Warm water 72 degrees is on a small lake in Land O Lakes, Fl. called Lake Saxon. It is long and avg. depth over 15 ft. We have a run over 3/4 of a mile and the depths run from 12-25 ft deep. Great for surfing. Finding deep water in Florida lakes is not easy to comeby. I believe this lake was dredged many years ago. Land O lakes is about 25 miles North of downtown Tampa off I-75 and West on SR 56.

My Wife !!!

Now the time we were out with my wife, the air plus water temp was DANGEROUSLY close to being below the Horton line of 100. (we had 50 air / 50 water). My wife does NOT like the cold water. She was trying out the drysuit and surfing to 'impress' me.

It worked. Haha, but when she fell, she would sit there in the water with her feet and hands sticking out, like an otter preparing to feed. She wouldn't swim to get the board. We had to drive to pick up the board, bring it to her & start all over again. Awesome.

So my lake is ice now and riding bare foot on my surf board in the snow is hard so I took a little bit of everything to make some fun out of my situation. LOL Enjoy I will be putting up some surf pics next week I'm heading to Palm springs,CA on Saturday to get back in the water I can't wait.

Although hopefully i'll be posting up in a new boat.

Just got back to Columbus; I had parked the truck in the uncovered airport lot. Had about an inch of ice the windshield of the truck and 6 inches of snow over that. Sure, post some more riding pictures, make me feel bad.
