I am new to this site and am currently in the market for a new boat. I recently went to On The Edge and did not have a good experience with them. Where else should I go? And what is up with that place?
Any suggestions on where to buy would be great?

What type of boat are you leaning towards? Waterski, wakeboarding etc.

Mostly wakeboarding. I have looked at mastercraft alot but for now the centurion looks good.

If you're looking for a Mastercraft I can recommend a great dealer:

Mid State Marine in Paso Robles. It's a bit of a drive but it's well worth it. Their number is 805-237-8707. Ask for Joe or Bob and let them know Mark Shurgot sent you. Last time I was there they had a couple used X-Stars on the lot for great prices with super low hours (one had only 16 hours on it)

You can also try Champion Watersports in Valencia. They are a new dealership but they've been selling boats pretty cheap.

I'm pretty partial to Wakecraft personally . Are you going to do any surfing behind the boat?

I am looking for a boat with good space, durability, a boat that can take a good beating after a long weekend, and a good wake.

You pretty much cant go wrong with most of the boats out now. What is the budget?

Used or new?

Ya I hear you Im still paying em off too. Plenty of good boats to get at that price. I guess it depends on if you want bling or pure functionality. Our boat came with everything you can get on a wakeboat from full stereo, shower to custom gel work for 50k but now they are just under 60k. From what I saw at the shows this season the Centurions, Sanger and alike were pretty competitively priced. You start out around 50k with a lot of the boats now Moomba's I think you can tag on a few things and be around there new. A new MC or BU and even the Centurions (depending on which one with what stuff) are going to be a pretty penny.

If you go with used even just a few years you broaden up your choices a lot.

I say you should check out "The Sporting Edge" in Antioch. Kelly and Mike over there are great, easy to deal with and stand behind their products, you could easy get into a MB B52 for that price. Of course this is just been my experience with the dealership.

Go see Neal or Ian at M20 in Mission Valley. I've had good experience with them (used Sanger). They sell Nautiques and Sangers.

Oh, and I LOVE the Sanger.

It might be a little far for you but I suggest going to Premier Truck and Marine in Reno, NV. They primarily sell Malibu's. I purchased a LSV from them and they are terrific. No pressure and try to get you into the most boat for your buck. Ask for Rob. His number is (775) 786-1171. I looked at dealerships across the US and in Reno. I found Premier was the best. Though I was only looking at Malibu's.
