She's a beauty, that would look pretty sweet parked in front of a single wide.

Here's the one I'd like to get my hands on. This has been parked next to our river place, and hasn't moved in 10 years!
The owner insists that it is "rare" and is worth something. What do you think?
Not sure of the year, but it is a two door Suburban 1/2 ton 4x4 with a 350. some rust, but otherwise pretty straight. what would a realistic offer be?

Chris,
I don't know if the burbans are 'rare'. You sure it only has 2 doors? AFAIK, all the 2nd gen burbans had 3drs (check the pass side).

I know the c-10 shortbed p/u's are have commanded a premium for the last decade or so, but I don't know about the burbans.

all tricked out, the panel trucks can go in the twenties. in that condition, i wouldn't think more than a couple grand.

That's a V12? Must be the angle that makes it look like a straight 6.

Agree with Nacho... I had a '72 C-10 pick-up 10-15 yrs ago... fun truck and definitely a head-turner. An old suburban would make a really cool tow vehicle. Based on the grill, it's a '71 or '72. Not sure if I'd want a two door as it would be a hassle to load people / gear into. Parts are easy to find. Not sure how rare they are, but you see more of the '67-'70's than the '71-'72 burbans. With the right lift / tire combo (3-4" and 33's or 35's) the 4wd trucks from that era look great. Here is a sweet burban... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRYbp92owPY - a touch too lifted for my liking, but pretty sweet anyway. Here are a couple pics of a three-door burban... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=196015 Keep us posted if you buy it!

hmmm, 3 doors, come to think of it I guess I've never really taken notice of the other side! ha never thought they would put one door on one side and two on the other, but makes some sense like a van would have...
I'll have to check it out next time down, I had a '91 3/4 ton 4x4 sub for ten years that I wish I had back

oh, sorry for the hijack Diggs! - BTW did Cummins even make a V-12 diesel??

that would be 12 valve guys, not a V-12. They've been inline 6's for a long time, even came out with a fairly rare 4 cylinder cummins. The 4 cylinder is basically the regular I-6 with two cylinders chopped off.

I love that there is a Carfax on there.

Thats one of the funniest postings I've seen in a while! I'm not sure what his "VISION" was for this, but if this guy has 35K invested in this, he should have his head checked.

And as far as the Cummins, those 4BT motors aren't that rare at all. They can be had pretty easily now actually, and when youfind someone selling one, 90% of the time it also comes with the bread or frito lay truck still holding it in place

Yeah Brian isn't it funny how they're all coming from those frito lays trucks! I say rare because in comparison to the dodge 3/4 and 1 tons slammed with cummins I-6's for around 20 years, your average person hasn't lifted the hood on a chip truck

This is where those chip truck engines belong:
