Marek vs. Pulse

Can anyone who has ridden both boards tell me how they compare. I have ridden the Pulse and love it but thinking about getting the Marek. Any feedback would be appreciated.

i've riddin the 3ds.. same shape as pulse and i like it. . havent riddin the marek.. but from the looks.. i know the rails are sharper which would make it much faster and that it has the nova core.. witch would make it lighter.. maybe its just a more aggressive pulse? hope that helps

I have both and ride both the 3ds was my favorite board so i ordered a pulse and as always loved that shape then went to the sub 6 and it got even better, then i went to the marek and now i only use the pulse to hit rails and will switch up to the sub 6 if i get in a rut and need to switch things up a bit.

Here it is. The Marek rides a little faster and a little more tight than the pulse with A LOT more pop. It is more aggressive, when you start to edge you better be ready to hit the wake, cause you're goin! The landings are a little softer in my mind and i really have noticed a substantial increase in how much air i get.

Slowly but surely the hyperlite team is moving to the marek Rathy and Jimmy LaRiche have both converted over.

I know that if you love the pulse you will be so stoked on the marek!

How big of fins does the marek come with?

My 3ds is currently riding with .8 p wings and it feels just right.

I may get a marek this coming season

The Marek fins are a little smaller than the p wings perfect for the board! You will love the marek coming from the 3ds.

I guess it makes sense though cause rusty was coming from the 3ds and he wanted a board that rode like it but better.

I went from a motive to the pulse and love it. I plan on buying a marek as soon as the price comes down a little.

I have rode the 3ds (pulse) for the last several years and the marek is a true upgrade. I rode the 3ds with smaller fins, but the marek already has a looser feel and I will stick with the P wings it comes with. It is also faster and I would agree that I think the landings are softer.
