Hinge or no hinge...What are some of your feelings...Please.

I haven't tried on the Zeus, but i do have the torqs. And with getting in and out, there is no struggle at all. You can put them on dry without and lube, and its still really snug. I say go for the hinge tech.

hinge all the way, I have been using the torqs all summer, and I love them.

Tough call. I ride/own both. Once the Fuses were broken in after a few rides, they were just as easy to get into as the Zeus, also with no lube. You should base your decision on stiffness. Do you want a lot of movement, or do you want a stiff boot?

I have a bad ankle, so I favor the Fuse.

If you're waiting for 2007 stuff, I suggest you also consider the Duce.

Cant go wrong with either binding, I would say demo both and see what you like better.

I haven't used the Fuse, but I could not imagine anyone ever needing any more support than what the Zeus offers. That boot is super stiff. The Hinge is where it's at, easy peasy japanesy.

Any rips or tears in the bindings over the summer when used on a regular basis??

I just tore one of my eyelits on the torq bindings. Called CWB and had a new toe rap in 5 days. Sweet! I love CWB customer service!

one more question...do the sizes run true as they CWB says...large = 11-12??/Lf always seem to run small I wear xl in LF and I have a 10.5 to 11 foot.

Guys...sorry but...the Zeus is NOT a stiff boot.

"the zeus, much more support"

Not true.

"I could not imagine anyone ever needing any more support than what the Zeus offers"

Destroy your ankle a couple of times and you'll feel differently.

The Fuse allows less ankle movement.

Sorry J-Rod I do feel differently. I have broken my ankle(while riding) and it does bother me, while I do like the new Zeus I feel they are too stiff. Something about not being able to poke the board hard like a Derek Cook Stalefish, no way in the Zeus. Before this years Zeus I was riding the 05's and before that the 04's. I preferred the 04's but only after I took out the heel cup and the ankle strap, I like supportive but flexy. I think the Zeus is incredibly stiff, especially when compared to the Faction (my preferred boot). Any stiffer on the Zeus and its going to be used for a cast the next time you hurt your ankle. To each his own.

I hear ya, and I agree. The Zeus is too stiff for you. I'm just saying in comparison to others, especially LF and HL boots. The Zeus is softer than many others.

With that said, you would likely hate the Fuse.

Nope, I guess the first run was all sold and poor Big Heezy got left out. I certainly wish it were otherwise, then I could be on the Faction team like you cool guys. Josh, are you guys doing your tournament this fall? Please, say yes. CCAW is ready to mobilize!

Yeah, Fuses are definitely the stiffest boot in the line. I think the Zeus' are a nice blend. Mine have held up all year without any problems.

You better believe it baby...

The tournament is coming back to Elsi, and it looks like were going to do a 2 day extravaganza with a rail jam and a surfing contest.

The new fuse bindings look pretty dope. I'd love to get some Torq bindings but their sizing is awful.
