J Jakober- nice pics, that is a part of Lake Roosevelt I have yet to explore. Seems we always stay by the casino and south.

I know this one is dark, but I like how the sun is just barely giving enough light to see the ground

Nice sunset shot Rich. I like the texture of the water.

Nick,
I like the first two but they are a bit dark for my taste. Do you have raw files for them ?

Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks here. (Well, for photo taking anyway.)

I recently was in Montana with the girlfriend and HAD to take several photos while I was there. It definitely was worth lugging all my camera gear through the airport. But while I was out there I got a call asking if I could be in Chicago the day after I returned home to shoot an Andrew Bird show in Millennium Park. I had to take that job so I landed in Minneapolis, was home for 11 hours and then left at 4am to drive to Chicago with the rest of the crew. We got there one time and had a little down time during sound check so my buddy and I ran around and played "tourist" for a while. I didn't take my SLR to Chicago since I was lugging around a video camera bag all week so I took the trusty little G9. I think it definitely does the trick in some situations. Though I wish I had my Nikon the whole time. Anyway, the show was amazing! 15,000 people in Millennium Park cheering on Bird. It was pretty fun to see. Of course, I didn't get a ton of sleep that night either, then hit the road early Morning. Wish I had a day to recover but It doesn't look that way. Oh well! Enjoy the photos!

Was at the expo today but only brought in the 50mm lens since there isn't really anything worth shooting. Volcom had a skate comp going down. Being limited with just the camera and only one focal length I obviously didn't bring in my strobes... so I decided to drag my shutter and "steal" the other photographers. Thanks dude!

Clete,
In the konocti parking lot after the Kid Rock show. When I saw what was going down I got ring side. I thought the security guy and the biker were going to box for a minute.

People were out of control on the way out of there.

Right on we just got the install "DAMAGE" proposal today so will have an answer were the install is going to take place, most likely at Kustom. This 33 Ford is coming out really nice, Vern Tardel built this car with my father 40 years ago, now his son Keith has rebuilt the car from the ground up again, pretty kool deal, CAR IS ROCKEN let me tell ya,

Thanks Dustin! Funny thing is that I have never actually been there either, only floated by in the boat...and I have lived here my whole life

lol. Seems to me when you live by something you're less likely to visit it then the tourists that come to town.
Old     (goinbigg17)      Join Date: Jul 2002       09-25-2008, 2:39 PM Reply
Can't argue that!

It's funny, because you never think of the "tourist" places when your bored with nothing to do wonder what you should do.
