Well I have a big plan in the works. It all starts with me gettin about a 100 bones and going around asking people if they want to sell their old junker pontoon. I can getem cheap cuz i live around lots of lakes and there are many toons just laying in fields wasting away.

Anywho next buy it, then strip it down to the frame. Build a ramp onto it redeck it al in new plywood. Then sheet it all in countertop sheeting so its smooth. So in all id expect aout 250 dollars altogether. Plus the great thing about it would be id register it as and the dnr couldnt b1tch :-)

Oh and if no one got the picture, itd be a giant funbox. Anyone ever do this before?

I've been watching for a cheap old pontoon but havent found anything less than $2000. The scrap aluminum in one is worth about $500. It is still a great idea.

George, drive around out in the country near some lakes. I guarantee you'll fimnd one sittin on a farm or field/lot somewhere. Or put up a wanted sign in the paper. trust me, these beasts around here just sit and grow every color mold on them. DEF check the welds before you buyem

My friend had a pontoon with a 8x10 cabin on it. There was a small ladder going to the top and a diving board on top. It was anchored to 2 huge radiators from an old house in about 12 feet of water. We had a blast being on it and playing around until everybody was on top and started to rock it back and forth. It flip upside down and was a huge pain to get it back up right. I wasn't there but I guess they had 3 big outboard boats tied to it with the ropes going around it and after a few tries finally got it up right. His dad never put it in ever again and eventually sold it. Good memories.
