When do you start? I would not mind wakeboarding or surfing in 60 degree weather, so who wants to start their season the last week in march?

We are hoping soon to start in NE Tn. Gotta take the boat up to the dealer to get it prepped and ready to go. We were just waiting for the last cold freeze before having it prepped. Heard there may be a bad storm near the end of March, but im hopin that wont be the case. I'm ready to ride for sure. Got a report that the water at our local lake was around 45, so that barely gets above the 100 degree rule haha

Greg, looks like you get out a least a month earlier than we do because I'm doing the same thing in april, but there are not too many people up here that will ride in may let alone april. Looks like its going to be 67 dgr next saturday around Nashville, TN. Does anyone surf around Nashville and want to surf/wakeboard on the 27th, this saturday?

I will be at Norris this weekend. Unfortunately, the primary goal is a work trip to install a water filtration system in our floating house. A new wetsuit was delivered yesterday. The motivation will be to get the work done quickly and get out on the water.

All the lakes around here are closed until mid June!!!! Something about the um, um, um cold water and that it stunts your growth or something!!

my new boots will be here tomorrow, then i should be out on center hill in couple weekends. ive never ridden this early and am thinking about a wetsuit. will a 3/2 be enough for 55 degree water? or do i even need a suit if the water is 55 and the air is mid to high 60's?

Yeah, the weather has been screwy the last few years (Chatt). We would usually start around mid April (which we are anticipating maybe the same time this year), but the past couple of years we didn't kick off until May. I'm not a huge fan of cold water. I'll usually start a little bit later in the spring, but ride a bit further into the fall.

Checked out the weather for this week coming up and the highs are ranging from 70 to 78 all week and weekends at 76 and 78! Temps lows are still in the 45s but drysuit will take care of that this weekend. We are dropping ours off tomorrow to get the engine prepped and hope to ride this weekend....yay...
