Wake tech has been defunct for a long time now so rest assured that you are buying an old design with old technology. Save $100 more bucks and get something legit.

I have read alot about the Wake Tech boards being good boards and it's only $100.00--I did google and that's actually what brought me here. Oh well, I'll keep looking. I am just getting into wakeboarding--any feedback for me as far as board recommendations?

yeah, something newer with real bindings. There is a ton of stuff for sale in the classifieds here. Spend a bit more coin and get a decent set-up. Maybe check Buywake.com

Maybe try a CWB Pure or Sol, with some Torq bindings. Pretty cheap and a very decent set-up.

Listen, Wake Tech was awesome. The board to have back in '95. They went out of business and then a couple years back had a limited return of the old shapes. It didn't last and few people rode them as the shapes were outdated. Look at the Pure/Torq combo from CWB its all the board you will ever need. Costs more but certainly worth it. Hyperlite, Liquid Force, Obrien all make good package deals.

Eric welcome to the board and yeah save your dough and get something with new technology and you will be glad you did. For board advice either use the search function, plenty of threads about boards or talk to our man Stoked, newbie like yourself but he has probably memorized the Board Wizard.
