Hi all. man you guys/gals really make people want to surf with all the talk, pictures, and stories you have.

I am 6'4" 230lbs and would like to try out some surfing. i am interested in a board that will work for me and lighter people. What would you all suggest? I would like to start off on a used board if someone has a decent one laying around.

Also anyone surfed behind a SN2001?

Thanks all

Your going to need a really big board for the 2001. I'd go with an IS Red Tide.

I am a big guy (250lbs), and like my red tide. I can surf smaller boards (yellow loogy), but at our weight the Red lets you use much more of the wave.

Will smaller people under 200 have issues riding this?

I'm 6'3 and 290 and I ride a Red Tide also, lighter people on our boat have used it as well. There's one in the classifieds on WakeOutlaws also.

Haven't ridden the red tide before, I am 255lbs. and love the Inland Surfer Blue Lake board, sounds like you couldn't go wrong with either one.
