Look at the bare MTF chart for the new 400 at the bottom:

That is one fricken sharp lens!

That new fisheye had to be designed with video in mind.

No new 24-70 yet though (sigh)

Interesting. The 300 2.8 is my next lens. I wonder how much more this new one will be than current 300 2.8? You can't tell anything from those ridiculous retail prices on the superzooms!!! I hope it will still be in the $4300-4500 ballpark but I doubt it.

I wonder how much better the 60D 9 point AF will be compared to the 5D or 50D? I think the AF on the 5D Mark II is pretty awful- especially in low light.

Rob,

Galbraith is saying 7 grand on the new 300

I'm interested in those new converters myself.

When used with EOS bodies featuring APS-C or APS-H sensors, the EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM produces a more traditional, full frame fisheye view. A zoom-lock mechanism on the lens body allows the range to be limited to the focal length that ensures the best possible full-frame view without unsightly vignetting around the edge. ‘C’ and ‘H’ markings can be found next to the zoom operation ring, indicating the wide-angle zoom position where vignette-free shooting is possible with either sensor, allowing photographers to achieve optimum results with any EOS body.

Can't wait to see sample shots. Then, can't wait until January!
