Stereo experts - need your advice. I have a 2007 Avy C4. Right now I have a 10" Alpine (R Series) sub in the kick panel powered by a 200W Rockford amp. What I want to do is (a)replace the sub with a 10" JL Audio sub and (b)move the Alpine sub to the small storage compartment on the port side (back seat cushion). Here are the questions:

1. What is the best 10" JL Audio sub out there? Price is not an issue.
2. For consistency and looks, I want to stay with the RF Amp. What size and how many channels to power both subs?
3. What type of enclosure for the sub? I realize some moisture may get into this area.

Hope this makes sense. Guys, any input would be appreciated.

I would do a JL10W6v2 in a ported box from hifisoundconnection. They have them that come finished in a line-x type material. W7's handle more power but I have no experience with them. Get a mono sub amp like the Rockford Fosgate Power T10001bd. It says 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm but will put out over 1300 watts rms at 1 ohm. This setup will pound without a doubt. If money is no object why don't you just go to a shop and have them do it for you?

Nu bu - can I use the RF T10001 amp to power both 10" subs? If so, I am onto your idea. By the way, I am buying the pieces and will be paying for the install. Thanks, bud...

You can use it to power both subs yes. The installer will know what to do.
