Eric, sorry to hear about that, was it at the state wrestling tournament? I was up watching my nephew and cousin wrestle.

Do you guys install them also? I really don't want to tackle that job...

"Boardcrazy" I spoke with Mastercraft and they said that the first install would take all day and of course I wouldnt charge that. They did say that 3.5hrs labor is the time they spend installing the system.. Our Labor is at $75.00 per hour as of now and will go up on April 1st to $90.00.. Let Me know !

Ben, Should be quite a few people out there. Stop by Nebraska Water Sports booth and check out the new '08 X-Star with the MC wrap on it. If you did see it last time, check it out again. We have made some improvements on it. Also, we do have one more thing up our sleeve for the boat, but you will have to come by to find out for yourself what it is.

"BoardCrazy" Did you get my message yesterday and my email/reply that I sent today ??
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-29-2008, 12:05 PM Reply
Eric, didn't get either one. Must be some type of breakdown in communication.

Just got to an offduty job at the hospital, but I have my cellphone with me. Don't get the best reception here, so you might have to leave a message. 310-4148 if you don't have it.
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-29-2008, 3:07 PM Reply
Eric, I don't know if you tried to call or not because of the bad reception here. Do you want me to just call you again? If so, which number?

There is no real hurry since I still have my boat in storage, but I would like to get an appointment set up.

Shawn K, is that your new X-Star or your old X-2? The more I look at it the more I like it.

boardcrazy, that is my new X-Star, of course it is still for sale.
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       03-02-2008, 7:21 AM Reply
Thanks, why are selling it? Do you want to get another one and do something a little different?

Are those subs ported, free air or in a sealed box? How do they sound? Where did you put the lights for the sub box? How long did it take you to get that job done? Did you have some type of template or did you just do everything yourself? Sorry for all the questions, but they look freakin sweet...
Old     (shawnk)      Join Date: Jan 2005       03-02-2008, 12:21 PM Reply
boardcrazy,
Not really trying to sell it, but it is for sale until after the boat show this coming weekend.
.
Box is sealed, didn't really have the room in that location for a ported box, but I would have preferred it. Leds are located on each side of the enclosure. Only took me one whole day to get the sub box done. I designed the whole thing myself, and it does sound pretty good. Stop by and check it out. I will be there all day Saturday.
Late!

Shawn, I have never worked with plexiglas, is it difficult to make a sub box out of? I have the dimensions I want, I just don't know how to go about sealing it up. I made a couple boxes out of particle board and half a$$ laminated them...they made it through the summer. I would like to make them out of plexiglas this year so they last longer. Do you have any tips?
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       03-02-2008, 2:38 PM Reply
Jesse, did you get your boat cleaned up and ready to go for the summer this weekend? Too bad the weather took a turn for the worst. It wont be much longer before we can hit the water.
Old     (hyperliteguy_04)      Join Date: Jun 2007       03-02-2008, 5:27 PM Reply
Well we didnt even uncover the boat this weekend. we did on the other hand spend all day on the trampoline and acually wakeboarded through a ditch. So i think i can officailly say i was the first on a board in water this year in nebraska, unless someone objects. My friend will be posting pics up for you guys later tonight if not tomorrow. But it felt awsome to get back on the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Old     (shawnk)      Join Date: Jan 2005       03-03-2008, 10:54 AM Reply
boardcrazy, Working with plexi, especially .75 to 1" thick, is relatively easy. Also, just to clarify, only the top of the box is plexi and the plexi side is sealed with high grade silicone. Hope that helps!

Believe me that water was way colder than it looked. and it looked pretty cold. but it was pretty sweet to get back on a board, even if it was only for 50ft or so.

hey jesse if you are looking to get out of the state for a short trip you could head my way. i ride on lake rathbun, its big and nice and doesn;t ever get real busy unless its a holiday weekend. its located near centerville, ia and is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from lincoln. some friends and i are looking at doing a similar trip this summer to either ne, ks or to the miss river somewhere in missouri.

Here is a shot of the monitor in the X-Star from the weekend.

I do agree that the x-star was a very sweet set up. The Screen is a nice touch. This boat show was definately better than the lincoln one a few weeks ago.

When does everybody think is the earliest they will be back out on the lake behind a boat?

Ben, it most likely wont be until next month...we will have to see how the weather does before that bridge is crossed. I hate to bust the boat out before its done with the hard freezes.

Well, it was until last night, oh well, I'm just really hoping the lakes warm up decently quick to wetsuit temps. We'll have to give everyone a heads up when we start riding so we can hopefully hook up.

Hello NE Riders, yes it will warm up soon. I thought I would let everyone know that Omaha Marine Center has started a The Rider's Club. This will be a great way for all of us to get together and ride, all you do is bring your gear and have fun. http://omahamarinecenter.channelbladelive.com/content.asp?nav=113591&cpid=8520& to learn more about the The Rider's Club and get signed up to ride.Upload

I was talking to someone at the boat show about this, forgot the name, but I definately remember the graphic. If you think about it, $25 is really cheap considering the price of gas, with ballast, you'll burn that up in a good set!

It should be a good weekend, we are kicking around hitting one of the larger public lakes, but who knows, everything is going to be calm at this point in the year as long as the wind is OK. Kyle, you'll have to give me a couple pointers on actually pulling my Raley back down...
Old     (kyle_alberts)      Join Date: Oct 2005       03-27-2008, 5:24 PM Reply
Darin, when I was learning raley's d shap gave me a pointer that worked for me. off the wake, lift the handle up, so you have room to pull yourself back down.

Jake the Snake, hey maybe if you arent to busy this time we should get together and kick it. Im going to be in Dallas, there is a rail jam going on during the supercross race and ill be getting into omaha late the night of 5th, and pry be there for a couple days, so we should chill. Skeeler, you too.
